KARIMA ALI-AHMAD
Karima was born & raised in Los Angeles, and left LA originally to pursue her undergraduate degree at Sarah Lawrence College in New York.
Upon graduation, she began what would become an 8.5 year career in the financial services industry on Wall Street, living in NYC & eventually Chicago. She discovered pilates when she sought treatment from a physical therapist for chronic back pain and migraines stemming from long stressful hours seated at a desk staring at a screen. Pilates would go on to become a significant part of her investment in her well-being to help manage both stress & pain.
In June of 2022, she embarked on a sabbatical from her corporate career and returned to Los Angeles to enroll in pilates teacher training to deepen her own practice during the time off and found that she really enjoyed working directly with clients and helping people build a safe, supportive & effective movement practice through pilates.
Outside of the studio, she can be found out & about Los Angeles, trying all of the amazing hole-in-the-wall spots for food that she comes across, traveling (or plotting future travels), and hanging out at home with her two feline children and partner.
