Julia Titus (subsitute)
Originally from Ohio, Julia’s first introduction to movement was at the age of 2 when she began dancing. Always intrigued with the body and it’s mechanics, she started looking for other modalities to move her body, from distance running, to cheerleading, she fell in love with how freeing it felt to just move. After suffering an injury from running that left her stagnant for months, she found Pilates at a small studio near Union Square in NYC which helped her to rehabilitate and continue on with her movement journey.
When she moved to LA, she decided to take her Pilates practice a step further and enrolled in teacher training at Sheppard Method Pilates in Westwood. There, she studied a classical pilates repertoire which hails from Pilates elder Ron Fletcher — his work includes more movement and flow than Joseph’s original work.
Julia’s goal when working with clients is to make people feel comfortable in their bodies while allowing them to move without inhibition regardless of injury. She believes Pilates is the all encompassing connection between mind, body, and soul.
